WSTX Channel 68 Presents: THE CITY REPLACED US

Film

Core Infection

World on a Wire

Reality is a simulation, and the simulation has middle management

Alphaville

The city is ruled by logic, anti-poetry, and dead language

Population: 1

Civilization collapses into punk cabaret, media junk, and one survivor performing for the ruins

This is not “sci-fi future” in the spaceship way.

This is:

The future as a municipal department with bad lighting.

How it connects to Volume One

Volume One says:

Humanity cannot escape itself by going outward.

Volume Two says:

Humanity cannot even trust the room it is standing in.

Volume One has desert, moon, dream, road, myth.
Volume Two has city, computer, surveillance, poetry ban, broadcast debris.

It goes from:

planetary hallucination
to
urban operating system

The three-film arc

1. World on a Wire

Reality becomes software.

But not glossy software. Not sleek cyberpunk chrome. More like a government office where metaphysics has been filed under the wrong extension number.

This is the nightmare of discovering the cosmos has paperwork.

2. Alphaville

Language becomes policed.

Emotion is obsolete. Poetry is contraband. The city is a brain with all the music scraped out of it. Godard turns ordinary modern streets into alien territory without needing spaceships, which is exactly the magic trick.

The future is not tomorrow.

The future is a hallway you already walked through and failed to recognize.

3. Population: 1

After system, after city, after control: performance remains.

The world is broken, but someone is still singing, mutating, joking, posing, broadcasting, ranting, surviving. It’s apocalypse as underground club act. The last human does not become noble. The last human becomes a weird show.

Perfect.

The Gideon Void classification

THE CITY REPLACED US

A synthetic terrarium containing three urban extinction behaviors.

Specimen materials:

One computer pretending to be God

One city pretending to be logic

One survivor pretending not to be lonely

Concrete dust

Obsolete monitors

A banned poem

A telephone that knows too much

A punk cabaret costume found in the ruins of civic planning

Behavioral note:

When the human animal discovers the world is artificial, it does not become free.
It begins looking for the control room.

WSTX Channel 68 Schedule

6:00 AM

World on a Wire

The Simulation Has a Personnel Department

Reality flickers under fluorescent light. Identity becomes a database error. A man discovers that existence may be nested, managed, duplicated, and probably reviewed by someone named Klaus.

WSTX Advisory:
Contains ontology, office furniture, mirrored paranoia, philosophical panic, and severe German room geometry.

9:45 AM

Alphaville

Poetry Is Illegal in the City of Reason

A detective walks through a city where emotion has been replaced by calculation and language has been trimmed until the soul can no longer hide inside it.

WSTX Advisory:
Contains trench coats, forbidden tenderness, computer theology, anti-romance, and several corridors that appear to have filed complaints against the heart.

11:30 AM

Population: 1

The Last Broadcast From the Human Cabaret

Civilization has gone splat, but performance survives in scraps: punk songs, junk media, costume fragments, jokes, static, and one person turning apocalypse into a stage act.

WSTX Advisory:
Contains post-collapse showmanship, trash-culture prophecy, theatrical debris, and the sacred human refusal to shut up.

Volume One / Volume Two together

THE PLANET FORGOT US

Earth, myth, image, desert, moon.

THE CITY REPLACED US

Simulation, logic, language, media, concrete.

Together they become:

THE WSTX FAILED ESCAPE CYCLE ๐Ÿ›ฐ️๐Ÿ“ผ

Volume One: You cannot leave Earth.

Volume Two: You cannot trust reality.

That’s a killer double-stack.

Volume One is the cosmic wound.
Volume Two is the systems wound.

One stares at the desert and asks, “What is humanity?”
The other stares at a computer terminal and asks, “Who authorized humanity?”

And Population: 1 is the necessary cracked grin at the end, because after all the theory, simulation, logic, and control, somebody still has to stand in the rubble and make a number out of it. ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿงท
